Freezing nights can ruin critical equipment, whether it's in your RV bay or boat engine compartment. This heater prevents that before it costs you time and money. It keeps those mid-size spaces at the right temp with an automatic thermostat.
Water lines split open when they freeze. Batteries lose charge faster in the cold. Engines, pumps, and other critical systems might not survive those nights that fall below zero. That's exactly what this heater was built to prevent. At 600 watts, it has the power to keep medium-sized RV basements and boat engine compartments above freezing, and the forced-air design pushes heat into the corners where damage usually starts.
You have better things to do than sit there watching a gauge. That's why the thermostat is fixed to switch on at 40ºF and shut down at 55ºF, which is the range that'll keep your plumbing, batteries, and tanks safe. It's high enough to stop freeze damage, but it doesn't waste energy making it warmer than you need.
Putting any electrical gear in an enclosed space can make people cautious, especially around fuel. This unit is ignition-protected, which means it's been tested to make sure it won't ignite fuel vapors in engine compartments or bays. For boaters, that's critical for safety when mounting in the bilge. For RV owners, it means reliable operation even in tight spaces where safety standards really matter.
This setup is designed to get up and running in just a few minutes. The heater comes with a 15' marine-rated cord with a standard plug attached, so there's no need to hardwire it to your electrical system. Once you've placed it in a spot that gives you the best airflow, it'll be good to go. Plus, if you add the quick-release bracket (sold separately), you can pull it out when the season ends, then drop it back in next winter.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Xtreme Heaters boat and RV heater. It's a medium heater at 600 watts. Now, this will be great for single engine pocket cruisers, large runabouts, sailboats, fishing boats, and maybe even smaller boats that are just stored on a lift or trailer. So this would be great for those large storage compartments with batteries, generators, and water tanks even.
And this gives you true forced air heating that circulates air more effectively and heats more evenly, giving you more accurate climate control. So again, it's gonna maintain critical systems above freezing in those cold temperatures, and it even has a built-in fail-safe design. This literally cannot overheat. The heating technology is dynamic and self-regulating, and it has an automatic thermostat that's gonna turn the heater on at 40 degrees Fahrenheit and back off when it reaches 55 degrees Fahrenheit. This is all corrosion-resistant.
It's fully anodized and ignition protected as well. And it's got a nice small footprint with a nice pre-wired 15-foot cord. On a width overall, I got 3.5 inches. On a heighth, I got 5 1/8 inches tall. And on an overall length, not counting the mounting brackets, I got eight inches long.
Now, this has been MIL-SPEC tested for military, you know, vibration, humidity, high, low temperatures, and it's tested to meet the US Coast Guard ignition-protected standards as well. So again, a great option for you. It does have a three-prong cord, so it's grounded and everything is nice and safe. And again, it's a 15-foot long cord. Folks, this is the Xtreme Heaters boat and RV heater.
I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
I’m impressed by how the Xtreme Heaters 600-watt RV and Boat Heater (XH34FR) hits that middle ground for medium compartments. I like that it has enough power for boats up to about 28 feet or an RV storage bay with tanks and batteries, without feeling oversized like the 800-watt version. The forced-air fan makes a big difference because it moves the heat around instead of just warming one spot, so you don’t get cold corners near your plumbing or batteries. The automatic thermostat is another feature I like — you just plug it in and let it do its job without having to keep checking on it. The ignition-protected, fully anodized body feels durable and safe in tight or damp spaces, and the 15-foot cord makes setup easy
